Lily is the Head of Engineering at Caper.ai, an intelligent shopping cart company acquired by Instacart for $300M in 2021. Before Caper, Lily was the Senior Director of Engineering of Fulfillment Experience at Instacart, leading a 120-people engineering team.
Lily's expertise spans social media, eCommerce, and marketplaces. Lily co-chairs and serves as a board member of the Silicon Valley Leadership Community, a non-profit community with five hundred senior leaders in tech. Lily is also co-founder and CEO of MatchA Angels, a premier tech angel community of engineering leaders in AI, Cloud, Data, and Blockchain.
Before Instacart, Lily led engineering teams at Facebook and Amazon. She co-created the widely used Facebook Stories feature with 800M DAU, and the Amazon device-to-device communication framework deployed to hundreds of millions of devices. Lily was a Y Combinator founder and started her social commerce company in 2019. She holds an M.S. in Engineering degree from the University of Southern California.
