Leo is the Head of Data Platform and Services at Coinbase. He directs a talented group of engineers, data scientists, and blockchain experts. He manages both the data platform and web3 data infrastructure while supervising the growth of blockchain analytics within the organization.
Leo's proficiency spans large-scale compute and data infrastructure, machine learning, and blockchain technologies. His leadership experience comes from roles at prominent tech companies such as Twitter and Cruise, with prior engineering work at Amazon AWS and Microsoft.
Leo has also contributed as CTO and advisor to Mixerbox, a Y Combinator-backed startup. Apart from his professional endeavors, Leo is an active participant in entrepreneurial and leadership circles. As chairman and board member of the Silicon Valley Leadership Community, a non-profit organization, he unites hundreds of tech leaders in a collaborative effort to make a positive impact on the industry. Leo's dedication to this role has nurtured a strong sense of unity and cooperation among Silicon Valley's tech professionals.
Leo obtained his bachelor's degree in computer science from The University of New South Wales and was pursuing a Ph.D. in databases before leaving the program.
